An ugly duckling, Simpur, ventures outside her comfort zone in pursuit of her PhD. She returns home to Brunei and while facing her insecurities, she gets entangled in a web of love, drama, friendship, family, lies, deception, and worst of all... the supernatural.

Pulut panggang : A type of traditional Malay food made of "Pulut" rice or glutinous rice which has different types of filling such as coconut, curry meat, spicy prawn paste etc. It is usually cooked in banana leaves and then grilled to give a smoky flavour.
